New Spring Bronze Weather-stripping

Finished and Installed and Fully Functioning
Before- cracked painted over paint over paint over paint
Before failing paint and exposed wood
This historic home had 4 large Jefferson Windows that had major issues. Most didn’t open well or at all, the paint was failing. There were large gaps at the bottom causing no protection from the outside elements. We left the interior as is to match their existing wood work and just redid the exterior. This involved removing the windows, old glazing, glass and failing paint. We then cleaned everything up and fixed some rotting wood. We finished by reinstalling the cleaned glass (and replacing a few broken panes), re-glazed to seal them and finished with fresh coats of exterior paint. We then re-installed them making sure they locked and sealed properly. While installing we also added historically appropriate weather-stripping.
